Campaign contribution rules
- You must be a resident of Ontario.
- Contributions may only be made by individuals. Corporations, organizations, clubs, associations and trade unions cannot make contributions.
- The maximum contribution is $1,200 per individual. If you make more than one contribution — including monetary contributions, goods, or purchases such as fundraising event tickets — the combined value cannot exceed $1,200.
- Contributions to municipal council campaigns are not tax deductible.
- Receipts will be issued for all contributions.
