Why I’m Running Again

Four years ago, I asked for your support to serve as Mayor of West Nipissing. Today, I’m asking for the opportunity to continue that work.

I’m running again because I care deeply about this community. I’m proud of how far we’ve come, especially when I think about where we started four years ago. And I still have the passion, drive and energy to keep serving West Nipissing.

Being Mayor is a responsibility I take seriously. It requires time, commitment and a willingness to listen. It means understanding the role, encouraging productive discussion at Council, and helping keep our focus on the decisions and priorities that serve to our community.

Over the past four years, I’ve gained a much deeper understanding of our municipality — our challenges, our opportunities and the issues that matter to people who live here. I’ve also learned what it takes to work effectively with Council, staff, residents and our partners.

To me, good leadership is about listening, learning and finding common ground. It’s about respecting different perspectives, encouraging healthy debate and making sure we keep sight of the bigger picture.

I don’t take the responsibility of serving as Mayor for granted. I’m grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me, and I’m ready to continue putting my experience, energy and commitment to work.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll share more about what we’ve accomplished, what I’ve learned, and what I believe we should focus on next.

For now, thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve. I’m proud of our progress — and I’m ready for what’s next.
